The another name for Kullu is DEV BHOOMI (THE LAND OF GODS). Almost every village worships its own deity. The villagers are very sincere towards the village god, the way they worship their respective gods during important festivals is worth seeing. There are many old temples here and some of the temples have legends dating back to centuries. The must visit temples are;
HADIMBA TEMPLE 
In the village of Manali itself, constructed in pagoda style and carved in wood. It's sanctuary is built over a rocky crevice covered by a large rock that is worshipped as a manifestation of DURGA.
MANU TEMPLE
The temple lies in old Manali and is dedicated to sage MANU in fact Manali got its name from MANU, MANUALYA (home of sage manu).
VASHISHT TEMPLE
This temple lies in the village of Vashisht also popular for its natural hot water springs.
BIJLI MAHADEV
Situated at an altitude of 2435mts. The temple is dedicated to lord SHIVA. The Shivlinga is shattered from lightning which is then rebuilt by the priests using makhan (butter).
The RAGHUNATH TEMPLE dedicated to chief deity Raghunath (lord RAMA) is situated in Kullu town.
